Light as a Feather

The first beautiful yellow of spring,
"the daffodil".
I am so glad I picked my daffodils.
With storm after storm
they wouldn't last long.
They dried beautifully,
to last forever
light as a feather.
Standing strong and elegant,
beautiful angles,
sharp, crisp transparent petals,
telling a heartwarming story.
They don't bend,
but they are elegant.
They don't break,
but they are fragile.
I am reminded of their beauty in every way.
They excite me to paint.
They excite me to draw.
What a gift God has given us all.
