Description: I've had this surface for awhile but when I started painting it I could not put it down. I love to add my touch to old pieces. The surface itself was so intriguing. This is the original coloring when I bought it. That is WHY I bought it. I can only imagine the ceiling where it came from. I left the rough pealed surface under the painting and it shows through, because I loved the texture it added. The edges of the tin is also ragged and occassionally has sharp areas. It can rest on an easel or hang on the wall. It is light weight. 24" square overall. Painting area is 12" square. Painted in oils
